More Info:
The spectacular Belle Isle is a 470-acre estate offering superb accommodation from charming country cottages, to converted stable-block apartments and a luxury wing in the 248-year-old Mansion House.

Situated at Lisbellaw, Enniskillen, the estate is in the heart of the County Fermanagh, whose lakes are renowned throughout the world for spectacular coarse fishing

Several of the cottages give unparalleled views of Lough Erne and with boats readily to hand, exploring the Erne’s vast waterways is easy.

The area is renowned for bream, roach and pike catches and Belle Isle is perfectly located for a session for any of the species.

The Baronscourt Estate own extensive fishing rights on the River Mourne, part of the famous Foyle Fishery. A total of five rods are available, two of which are on one beat where the average catch of salmon over the last five seasons was 106 fish. The season extends from early April until mid-October, with the best months usually being June, July and August. A ghillie is provided as he has an extensive knowledge and experience of the pools within the beats.

Coarse fishing is also available on the Baronscourt Lakes throughout the year. These waters contain some very large pike, and several fish weighing over 30lbs (13.6kg) have been caught in recent years. A ghillie can be provided on request.

Coarse fishing is available at Belle Isle and the Upper Lough is full of bream and roach, as well as perch and pike, and the private fishing at Belle Isle has been described as some of the best in Europe. There is no closed season but the best months are from October through until May.

Fishing rod licences are required for both coarse and game fishing and these can be obtained locally.
